Hello everyone, this is the Noob Factory blog editor here. Today, we’re taking a closer look at the Audemars Piguet Royal Oak 15707 Ceramic Watch from APS Factory. We all know that JF Factory used to be the benchmark in the industry, but unfortunately, they stopped updating, and no new models have been released for some time. Thankfully, a new strong player has emerged in the market, and that is APS Factory. It is said that APS uses an integrated movement in almost every watch they develop, and the 15707 is no exception. Let’s take a look at its overall performance.
Starting with the exterior dimensions, the 15707 measures 42mm in diameter and has a thickness of 13.8mm, which matches the original. The watch comes in a full black ceramic version, and there is also a white ceramic version available. The black ceramic variant is more scratch-resistant compared to the stainless steel models, which makes it less likely to be scratched during regular wear. However, it is more susceptible to breaking if dropped, so it’s best to handle it with care. The dial has a three-hand layout, with the orange accents around the 45-minute mark standing out. The inner rotating bezel has a well-polished diving scale, and even under magnification, there are no visible blemishes or rough edges. The luminous coating is also perfectly applied. The central axis of the hands is flawless, including the fine finishing on the tip of the second hand, and the luminous markers are precisely positioned with no deviation.
The entire dial is clear, detailed, and transparent—thanks in part to the highly transparent sapphire crystal. The result is an unobstructed view of the dial from any angle, which is definitely a plus. At the 3 o’clock position, there is a date window with a tiny piece of glass over it, featuring a light blue anti-reflective coating. This detail is finely executed, and the date font is consistent in size. The watch features a double crown design—both crowns are made of ceramic, with the right one used to adjust the time and date, and the left one for adjusting the inner bezel, which is useful when diving. You simply align the scale with the current time for easy reference, and the rotation is smooth without any jamming.
The strap is black rubber and has a soft and comfortable feel. The strap connector at the top has an articulated space, which APS Factory has improved upon, adding to the comfort level for wearers. The engraved text on the strap is clear, and the same goes for the markings on the case—everything is sharp and precise, including the APS logo. The case back has a see-through design, with deep engravings around the edge. Through the sapphire crystal back, you can clearly see the intricate details of the movement. Speaking of the movement, APS Factory has fitted the watch with a Calibre 3120 movement, which is currently unique to APS Factory in terms of using a fully integrated movement. The benefit of an integrated movement is that it provides a higher degree of finish, enhanced stability, and a slimmer overall profile.
From the overall appearance, the balance wheel is positioned around the 7-8 o’clock direction. With the integrated movement, the entire case and crown are aligned on the same horizontal plane, which is clearly noticeable from a side view. If the watch were equipped with a 9015 movement, the crown alignment would be off—either higher or lower. Moreover, with the integrated movement, the gears inside are fully functional and move realistically.
To sum up, APS Factory’s Royal Oak 15707 has absolutely no flaws when it comes to its appearance, including its materials, craftsmanship, and dial design—everything is spot on. The only slight drawback is the date switching mechanism, which isn’t quite perfect. In every other respect, the watch performs excellently, especially with the use of the Calibre 3120 movement, which takes the craftsmanship to the next level. At present, APS Factory seems to be the best when it comes to this model.
