Hello everyone, I’m the editor from the NOOB official website. Today, we’re diving into the Cartier Santos series. There’s certainly no shortage of top-tier replicas on the market today, and for someone new to this, it can be hard to tell which one is truly at the top. When it comes to the Cartier Santos, you’ve got options from V6 Factory, AF Factory, TW, and BV Factory. But currently, the BV Factory version is widely recognized as the best. So how do you differentiate the BV Factory model from the others? Let’s take a closer look.
The BV Factory’s Cartier Santos large model has a diameter of 38mm. If you measure it including the bezel, the width reaches about 39.80mm, with a thickness of around 9.4mm. Anything thicker might mean it’s not true to the original. Also, take note of the quick-release strap feature; it allows you to detach the strap with just a press. If it’s a smaller, cheaper replica, they can’t achieve such a one-button release due to less meticulous craftsmanship—definitely something to check for.
The polishing on the watch head is incredibly refined, with a combination of polished and brushed finishes that flow seamlessly. You’ll notice how easy it is to install and adjust the strap—another reason why the BV model stands out. The difference in craftsmanship really shows here; smaller factories often deliver rougher finishing, which can be seen in multiple aspects of the watch. Those who know will understand what I’m talking about.
Now, let’s talk about adjusting the time and other functions. This model uses the Clone Cartier Calibre 1847 MC movement, so the date is adjusted counterclockwise—it jumps instantly when set. When pulled to the second position, the second hand stops. A counterclockwise turn advances the time forward. If any of these actions don’t match up, it’s likely not the BV model.
