ZF Factory has recently upgraded the Audemars Piguet Royal Oak 15500 watch, launching the V2 version. This watch is a new men’s basic steel model that Audemars Piguet updated at last year’s Geneva Watch Fair, replacing the 15400 and becoming the new main men’s steel three-hand model. This time, the upgrade by ZF Factory focuses on removing the excess parts of the movement plate, giving the movement a more skeletal feel, improving the authenticity to make it closer to the original. With this, ZF Factory showcases their strength, continuing to defend the title of “Steel King.”
The latest upgrade includes four different dial colors: gray, blue, white, and black. Especially the blue dial, which is extremely elegant and beautiful, is deeply loved by many watch enthusiasts.
ZF Factory purchased a brand-new authentic model for disassembly and molding, with the case size being 41 mm and a thickness of 10.4 mm, consistent with the original. The stainless steel case is meticulously polished and brushed, perfectly replicating every detail of the original. It also showcases the authentic model’s angular and determined masculine quality.
The refined dial features the classic “biscuit texture” that is full of depth and liveliness, completely different from the soulless look of the ordinary small factory’s versions. The width of the hour markers has been increased, and the scale ring is set on the satin-finished outer rim of the dial (without occupying the patterned area). The movement is modified from the rotor to pay tribute to the original, and it is the only version on the market that matches the color of the original (most versions on the market are reddish). The AP crest engraving on the rotor is unique. Breaking the concept of a bridge plate, it uses a modified 9015 movement to create an Audemars Piguet CAL.4302 integrated movement—more stable, superior, and authentic.
The workmanship of the stainless steel bracelet is impeccable, surpassing the craftsmanship of any other stainless steel bracelet on the market. The tension of the “buffer link” between the end link of the bracelet and the case head is identical to that of the original.
